The Power of One Connection
Do you love to travel, communicate, and connect with people from many different cultural environments? The study of Spanish is for you!
Our Spanish major and minor students develop the cultural and linguistic skills necessary for Spanish-speaking or bilingual professional environments.
Spanish majors explore the language, history, literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking world. We emphasize diversity and cultural exchange. Our small classes offer individual attention and support, and varied opportunities.
Practice your skills both inside and outside of class! Connect with other Spanish speakers through our active Spanish Club and bi-weekly Spanish Conversation Hour!
Our faculty prepare and strongly encourage students to study abroad in Spanish-speaking countries. We will help you identify programs and scholarships that suit your needs. Our students have participated in summer or semester programs in Cuba, Mexico, Costa Rica, Perú, and Spain!
