Student resource funds provide financial support for books, lab fees, travel, or other educational expenses in a selected department.
Beth Cassell Fund for Student Professional Development (2007)
This endowment funds small grants to aid students with their professional development projects.
Helen Connors Student Resource Fund (2002)
The Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology established this fund to honor Helen Conners’ 16 years of dedicated service to Pitt-Greensburg. It will be awarded to a full-time student majoring in psychology.
Kevin M. DiVecchio Endowed Fund for Student Resources (2005)
Kevin was a 2003 graduate of Pitt-Greensburg who died in an accident on October 1, 2005, at the age of 24. In his memory, family and friends established a scholarship to remember a young man whose life was defined by a great love of family and friends, a talent for leadership, and a passion to help develop and inspire other young men and women in the classroom and on the playing field. This award will be given to Norwin High School graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA and with similar academic and athletic interests as Kevin.
Jessica Drayer Chemistry Award Fund (2010)
The Jessica Drayer Chemistry award was established by family and friends in memory of Jessica, who passed away May 2009. As a tribute to Jessica, this award is open to any junior or senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg with a 3.25 GPA who is majoring in Chemistry, working on or completing an independent research project, and who provides service to Pitt-Greensburg and exhibits leadership qualities. It is renewable, in accordance with the University’s scholarship renewal policy. One scholarship shall be awarded each year. This scholarship is to offset costs such as books, lab fees, room, board, or any other educational expenses and will be directly applied to the student’s account.
Dr. Randi Koeske Endowed Fund for Student Resources (2009)
The Dr. Randi Koeske Endowed Fund for Student Resources was established by Gary Koeske in memory of his wife, who passed away January 2009. As a tribute to Randi, this scholarship is open to any sophomore, junior, or senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg who has declared their major in the area of Psychology. It is renewable, in accordance with the University’s scholarship renewal policy. One scholarship shall be awarded each year. This scholarship is to offset costs such as books, lab fees, room, board, or any other educational expenses and will be directly applied to the student’s account.
Pitt-Greensburg Staff Association Endowed Student Resource Fund (2008)
This resource fund is open to any Pitt-Greensburg student who has completed a minimum of 60 credits, 45 of which are from Pitt-Greensburg, with a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
Prof. Robert J. A. Pratt Endowed Student Resource Fund (2003)
This resource fund provides selected students of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Management Department with tuition assistance and/or financial assistance for books, travel, or emergencies. It was established by Robert J. A. Pratt., former Professor of Business at Pitt-Greensburg.
Joan C. Zaleskiewicz Endowed Fund for Student Resources (2005)
This resource fund is open to a freshman who agrees to enroll as a member of the Pitt-Greensburg Chorale during their entire sophomore year. The endowment was established by Dr. Thad Zaleskiewicz in memory of his wife, Joan.
